Glamping at the Fraser Canyon River Ranch offers it in style and off grid from riverfronts yurts to cozy cabins all hand built by us from beetle-kill pine trees in the hills from above. Arguably the most scenic canyon land in the country the middle Fraser River is a hidden gem nestled between the small historic towns of Lytton and Lillooet BC.
Glamping On The Fraser River
On the rain shadow side of the coastal mountains. Sunny and dry with crystal clear rivers, lakes and waterfalls surrounding you to cool down in and an abundance of birds and wildlife to view. From Big Horn Sheep to Mountain Goats, Black and Cinnamon bears, Bald and Golden Eagles, deer and marmots to hundreds of other bird species for checking off your bird list this area has it all for the nature enthusiast..
We have a picnic and bbq area set up with sinks and all the pots, pans and cooking utensils you will need for some bbq camp style cooking, shower huts and shade gazebos with hammocks to relax in under the willow trees.
Campfire pits and a beautiful private beach to walk down to for some shore fishing or night time star gazing and bat watching as they swoop down along the river. If you like rock hounding its rock hunters paradise or try your luck with one of our gold pans and look for some gold nuggets and flakes and do some gold panning along the rivers edge.
We also offer daily guided Sturgeon Fishing Trips and Kayak Fishing on the river for couples and families that include guide service, all gear bait and tackle, riverside lunch and jet boat service. After you hook one of these dinosaurs and experience the excitement of watching it leap out of the river many times you then get to help the guide tag and measure it before releasing it back to the wild. The average size of the sturgeon we catch are from 2ft -10ft in length and we often land 10-20 per trip, we guarantee fish on all our trips!
Shuttle Drop Off
We can even give you a shuttle and drop you off with our riverboat at hard to get to remote beaches, river bars and islands along the river to spend a day exploring and rock hounding for Agates, Jasper and Jade, and arrange to pick you up at the end of the day.

If you like to get out on the water we have over a dozen lakes you can paddle and swim at in the Lillooet area. With our semi arid desert like conditions in the canyon and temperatures that often reach the high 30’s to 40c in mid-summer a daily swim at the lake is a must. Bring your kayak or paddleboard with you or rent one of ours as you will want to get out and explore our cool, clear, clean mountain lakes in the region.
Fishing on the Fraser River
This area of the Fraser River attracts anglers from all over the globe looking to catch a nice rainbow trout, kokanee or dolly varden out of the lakes or perhaps you want to try some sturgeon fishing on the Fraser River which has the largest population in the world of them right here on our doorstep. We offer daily kayak fishing trips in top of the line Hobie pedal kayaks you can fly fish from or do some spin cast trolling from in the local lakes and we also rent them out to guest to head out on their own for the day to chase some rainbows and hopefully bring one back to have on the bbq that evening.
A BC Freshwater Fishing Licence is available in a range of options from single day to annual licences that last all year, from April 1 through March 31st
